Motorola Moto G Power 5G Price in Nigeria Today

The Motorola Moto G series has long been known as the budget champ, offering flagship-caliber features at affordable prices. Now Motorola looks to cement its budget crown with the new Moto G Power 5G – the brand’s most affordable 5G phone.

I recently went hands-on with the Moto G Power 5G to see if it truly lives up to its promise of 5G connectivity on a budget. Here are my initial impressions:

Design and Display

At first glance, the Moto G Power 5G doesn’t look dramatically different than its non-5G predecessors. It has the same plastic design and a 6.5-inch LCD screen. However, there are some small but notable upgrades – the screen now supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and interactions.

The plastic back feels durable though it is a fingerprint magnet. At 185g, the phone feels weighty but not uncomfortably so. Overall the design won’t win any awards but seems suitably sturdy for a budget device.

Performance and Specs

MediaTek’s Dimensity 930 chipset is powering the show with 6GB of RAM. This provides respectable though not blazing-fast performance for basic tasks like social media, browsing, and photography. Gaming performance is decent for lightweight 3D games as well.

Standout specs include 128GB of storage which is generous for the price, and a massive 5000mAh battery that should provide multi-day endurance. Other nice touches are the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and dual stereo speakers.

Cameras

Around the back is a tri-camera module headlined by a 50MP main sensor. Photo quality is decent for a budget phone though low-light shots can be noisy. The macro camera provides some fun shooting options. Selfies come courtesy of a 16MP front camera.

Video capture maxes out at 1080p which is common at this price point. EIS keeps footage relatively stable. Overall the cameras should satisfy casual photo needs.

5G Connectivity

Of course, the biggest selling point is 5G support thanks to Motorola integrating a MediaTek Dimensity 930 5G chipset. In my testing, 5G download speeds were respectable and comparable to more expensive phones on the same network.

Coverage will depend on your specific provider but it’s great to have 5G future-proofing at this price. The Moto G Power 5G supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G bands for broad compatibility.

Early Verdict

For under 300,000 Naira, the Motorola Moto G Power 5G delivers a compelling package headlined by 5G, strong battery life, and good performance given the price. sure it cuts corners like using plastic and an LCD screen, but considering the cost it seems like an incredible value.
